
Hadrien Baudot (1989) is an operatic tenor, theatre producer, director and actor established in the region of Leuven.
Voice
He began his vocal training as a lyric tenor with Tatiana Trenogina in 2012 and continued his studies with Cécile Bolle. He then took lessons in Leuven under Bart de Kegel. He also expanded his experience thanks to various masterclasses, including with Marcel Vanaud.
He is a founder of LyricLab in 2023, with which he directed a successful adaptation of Le Nozze di Figaro.
In 2024, he created the Belgian Opera and Operetta Organisation (BOOO) with the aim of supporting the creation of opera in Belgium. BOOO provides logistics and creative services to companies as well as producing concerts and operas. He will star as Edgardo in Lucia di Lammermoor – the very first opera produced by BOOO – in October 2026.
Hadrien Baudot is currently active as a guest tenor with the choir of the Opéra Royal de Wallonie-Liège.
He participated to multiple lyrical studios in Leuven and at the Palais des Beaux-Arts in Charleroi between 2019 and 2024.
He has performed the following opera roles on stage:
- Don José in Bizet’s “Carmen”
- Don Carlo (Act 4-5) in Verdi’s eponymous opera
- Roméo in Gounod’s “Roméo et Juliette”
- The 4 knaves in Offenbach’s “Les Contes d’Hoffmann”
- Monostatos in Mozart’s “Die Zauberflöte”
- Ambrogio in Rossini’s “Il Barbiere di Siviglia”
as well as the following operetta roles:
- Alfred in Strauss’ “Die Fledermaus”
- Baron Weps in Zeller’s “Der Vogelhändler”
- Le Brésilien and Bobinet in Offenbach’s “La Vie Parisienne”
- Box in Sullivan’s “Cox and Box”
Theatre
Hadrien Baudot came in contact with theatre during his years at the revue of the faculty of engineering at KULeuven in 2006. He learned the craft and how to successfully produce a show from scratch in all its aspects making him a true multidisciplinarian.
He is now the chairman of a theatre company, Trivial Muffins, which he founded in 2014, an established name in Leuven. They are known for their polished presentation of theatre classics ranging from Shakespeare to Oscar Wilde passing by Bernard Shaw, Agatha Christie, adaptations of Jane Austen or even Terry Pratchett and lesser known but even qualitative plays. Trivial Muffins extend their range to performing in Brussels, Mechelen, Tervuren, Bruges…
The production Mozart with the orchestra ConForte conducted by Dario Salvi, directed and written largely by Baudot himself with music from Suppé, earned them both the Landjuweelprijs 2022-2023 for best production in Flanders and the Euripides Prize from the city of Leuven in 2023.
Hadrien Baudot has played in, produced and directed most the plays since the creation of Trivial Muffins. He put his multiple skills to application for set building, costume design, tech, IT, promo and visuals as well.
